Times of Oman is a leading newspaper
published in the Sultanate of Oman and distributed mainly in the member countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf
. The newspaper is brought out by Muscat Press & Publishing House SAOC (MPPH).
Founded in 1975, it is the only newspaper to have an online e-paper which gets hits in millions weekly.
The most popular column in this paper is the viewpoint written every Sunday by its Editor-in-chief and Chairman Essa bin Mohammed al Zedjali.This was the first English newspaper of Oman and was founded by Rana Noor Parveze, on an invitation from the Sultan of Oman. Rana Noor Parveze was the first Chief Editor of Times of Oman.
Times of Oman is printed daily with 52 pages with a blend of black and colour pages. A THURSDAY magazine is distributed with the paper every weekend. A light reading stuff of Hi Times is distributed every Friday instead of the normal serious-reading edition. Every issue of the paper contains four sections: Section A - International + Sports, Section B - Oman, Section C - Business And Features And Section D- Classifieds.
