Career

Mowl's career has included work as an Inspector for English Heritage, an architectural consultant, a journalist and as a freelance architectural historian. He is Professor of History of Architecture and Designed Landscapes, Director of the MA in Garden History and also Director of the Institute for Landscape and Garden History.

Mowl has published a number of works on landscape gardening and architecture.
