Although released in 2008, the vast majority of the sales of Adele's version of Make You Feel My Love came after the song was performed numerous times on the seventh series

. It reached a new peak of #24 after its first appearance on the series, then peaked again at #4 after it was performed again. The song spent four weeks in the UK top 10, all completely separate of each other, following respectively a third performance on The X Factor (which sent it back to #9), heavy use on the Comic Relief
2010 telethon (also sending it to #9) and finally an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing
in early 2011 (which caused it to climb back to #7). Yet another use of the song on the 2011 series of Britain's Got Talent
saw it re-entering the top 40 once more at #34, bringing its total number of weeks in the top 40 to 32. It has now spent a cumulative total of 55 weeks on the official UK Top 75, making it the joint 16th longest runner of all time, and 67 weeks on the Top 100.
