. He wrote his second book, Crashproof Your Life: A Comprehensive Three-Part Plan for Avoiding Financial Disasters, and a follow up CD series, Protect Your Wealth, in 2002. He wrote his third book, Staying Power, in 2003. In the book, Schweich interviews forty very successful people in order to help people learn from their success. Before becoming state auditor, Scheich was a member of the Washington University faculty, where he taught law and foreign policy.

 officer in the U.S. State Department. He directed four-thousand people, who were located in more than eighty countries, and he was given a budget of more than 2.5 billion dollars. From there he was appointed Coordinator for Counternarcotics and Justice Reform in Afghanistan. In this position, he was in charge of the effort to stop the illegal drug trade in Afghanistan. President George W. Bush gave him the rank of ambassador while he was in that position.

Missouri Auditor
