Tonghua’s attitude towards the novel Startling by Each Step

One of the novel written by Tonghua entitled Startling by Each Step has been adapted into TV series. Tonghua is now living in USA and the reporter interviewed her by telephone. She said it was a coincidence to publish the novel. She moved to USA in May 2005. At that time she had no friend there and few things to do with. She began to write down stories on website little by little which attracted numerous readers around the world. A publisher contacted her and planned to publish the novel if Tonghua could change the novel with a happy ending. However the novel is still welcomed by a lot of people with a sad ending. Recently the TV series Startling by Each Step was very popular in China. After having seen the TV series, Tonghua said she was satisfied with it including the plot, actors and actresses.
