Toni Savevski is a football
player from the Republic of Macedonia
. Savevski is widely regarded as one of the best foreign midfielders to have played in the Greek football league
.
Savevski started his career in Pelister Bitola
and then played for Vardar Skopje
until 1988, when he signed for AEK Athens. He served AEK for 13 years playing in 410 league games and winning the Greek championship four times (1989, 1992, 1993, 1994) and the Greek cup
(1996, 1997, 2000) three times. He also played several matches for the Macedonia national football team national team and twice with the Yugoslav national football team
.
After he retired, he became a manager in Cyprus
until 2004
. In the season 2001-02 he was the coach for Apollon Limassol
and between 2002-2004
coach of Omonia Nicosia. In 2003 he won the Cypriot championship
and Cyprus Super Cup with Omonia. He currently works for AEK, scouting in its youth academy system.
