) is a retired English
footballer who played as a full back. He played in The Football League
for four clubs.
and then joined Port Vale
in July 1981. In August, after just one game he broke his collarbone, he recovered and became a regular in the team but switched to Chester
in December 1973 as part of an exchange deal that saw Neil Griffiths
move in the opposite direction.
His spell at Chester included being an ever-present in their promotion season from Division Four
in 1974–75
and a surprise run to the Football League Cup
semi-finals in the same season. He moved on to Halifax Town
in October 1976 along with fellow Chester defender Chris Dunleavy
, where he remained until joining Stafford Rangers
in 1979 to play in the newly formed Alliance Premier League
