After a year on Trent's breakfast show, he moved to Leicester Sound
, where he hosted an afternoon music and chat show for three years. He later briefly returned to Trent to present a mid morning show before moving to Trent's sister station and mediumwave service, GEM-AM.
Following several years with GEM, one of his former Trent colleagues became involved with the management of the then newly-established Century 106 in Leicestershire
, and he was given the opportunity to return to FM broadcasting. However, following Century's acquisition by Capital Radio
, the new management team was keen to change the station's format and he departed along with several other colleagues.
