TopTenReviews is a website
which aggregates reviews for software, hardware, web services, music, movies and video games from other sites and publications. Founded by Jerry Ropelato in 2003, TTR is, as of May 2008, one of the most popular sites of its kind by size and traffic, with the largest online database of media reviews. It has an Alexa

The site converts critic reviews from various scoring systems (such as 100-point, 10-point, letter grade) to an overall average on a four star
scale with four decimal places (i.e. 0.0000 to 4.0000), and then ranks the media products based on their metascores.
The goal of TopTenReviews is to give information on products and save consumers time and money by comparing the products first.

As of 28 May 2008, the site had 190,040 entries in its movie database, 455,189 entries in its music database, and 34,477 entries in its video game database. There are over 700,000 movie reviews and 200,000 game reviews.
For video games, TTR also ranks titles among others released on the same console, same genre, and same year of publication. For movies and music, titles are ranked by decade, year of release, and all-time ranking.
