TransBunbury is a system of public bus transport in the regional city of Bunbury
, Western Australia
, and is part of the Western Australian Government
's TransRegional scheme. It was known as Bunbury City Transit from its establishment in 1986 until 2 May 2011. Since the establishment of the Public Transport Authority, has been based 180 kilometres (112 mi) away in the state capital, Perth
, where its sister brand Transperth
operates. The current operator of TransBunbury services is Veolia Transport
.
Bunbury is the fourth regional bus service to be changed after TransGeraldton
, TransGoldfields
and TransBusselton.All TransRegional services' buses will be coloured green and silver to be consistent with Transperth
services. Along with the change the Smartrider
system was introduced.
The 101 and 103 connect the visitor centre with the Bunbury Railway Station in Wollaston, and are free for passengers connecting to or from the TransWA
Australind rail service.
In addition, there are 17 school routes operated by TransBunbury
