History

Travel Insured International was founded in 1993 by insurance industry executive Peter Gehris when he acquired the travel protection division of the Travelers Insurance Company. The company opened its doors in 1994 offering only one travel insurance product for trip cancellation. As the business grew they began to offer a range of insurance plans that include 24/7 worldwide assistance services and customer care.
