Founded in 1979 by John Greif III with just a single airplane and two employees, Tropic has steadily
grown to become the largest and most experienced airline in Belize. It now employs over 250 staff and
offers over 180 daily scheduled flights throughout Belize and Guatemala.
Since its inaugural flight 32 years ago, Tropic Air has been a leader in the introduction of modern
aircraft technology in the domestic market in Belize. It has played a key role in the promotion of the
tourism industry within Belize, and has always been committed to the growth of this sector.
Tropic currently flies over 180 daily flights to 13 destinations in Belize & Guatemala, and took delivery of two new Cessna Caravans on November 15, 2011.
