However, pupils who had passed the test have the choice of continuing studies in some colleges in France and Quebec
  • In normal cases, the Principal session occurs each year in the early June (11, 12, 13 June for example)
  • Narrow Failers'control session happens in the late June

- Results are shown in the fourth week of June, for Principal session examinees. As for the other session examinees, it would be shown by the First week of July.

Equivalency Problems

Many people admit that Tunisian Baccalaureate  Tunisiais like a Grade-12 Certificate and they recognized it so. Therefore, that's not true, Tunisians sit for Baccalaureate exam as they are 19 years-old, that's why the Tunisian Baccalaureate is like the A-Level, the CEGEP 1  Early Modern France and the Matura

As for the participation, few people were examinees (under 500)
From 1891 to 1916, succeeded people was under 120.with an average of 5 pupils per year for all a quarter of century. But, in 1927, the number of real Tunisian passers was 27 and in 1938, this number had increased to 58
Useful to know that till the middle seventies, The Tunisian Baccalaureate had two parts (a 5th Year of Secondary Education Grade 11 Passing Test and a 6th Year of Secondary Education Grade 12 Passing Test including two skills: Speaking and Writingfor each subject and even Mathematics) in each one of its versions (Arabic as well as French).
From 1976 till now, Baccalaureate has became in one bilingual French-Arabic Version (taken when having 19 Years Old Grade 12 + 1 Year of Education including only written tests in all subjects) with two session, with a special accessibility version for needy and handicaped people entries.
