. The team played their first match in 2002 at the 2003 Future Cup. They have played 14 matches, winning seven, drawing six, and losing once. The team is currently coordinated by Fuat Usta
. The team last played a match against the Finland
B team on 25 March 2011.
When Guus Hiddink
took over the senior squad, he re-introduced the reserve squad. Hiddink pushed for the squad in order to expand the players available to him and to also allow players over twenty-one to gain international experience. The team came together for their first camp in Istanbul
in November 2010. They team played their first matches against Belarus in February 2011, and will continue to have camps throughout the year while playing more matches.
