. It is the home field of the Eastern Kentucky University

team. The stadium was opened in the 1960's and was named in honor of former EKU baseball coach Turkey Hughes.
In 2006, EKU's
athletic department unveiled plans to completely rebuild the current stadium with a $2 million dollar initiative. As of 2009, construction has still yet to commence as funding has not been completely secured, nor has state legislature given it's approval.
