Band

Turramurra High School has a reputation for outstanding musical achievement. The comprehensive band program enables students to actively participate in a music program that delivers an enriched musical experience, and a sense of teamwork. The Turramurra High School Band Program has tremendous support from within the School community, from parents and others from within the general community. It is highly regarded and is widely recognised for outstanding commitment and achievement.
  • Concert Band 1 is the highest-level concert band, performing classical and contemporary pieces.
  • Concert Band 2 also performs classical and contemporary pieces, at the second-highest level, with some competition but with a greater emphasis on school and community performances.
  • Stage Bands 1, 2 and 3 are smaller groups of musicians from the brass, woodwind and percussion families that play primarily jazz-oriented pieces. Stage Band 1 is the senior jazz group.
  • For The Lulz is a folk metal band consisting of a Hurdy-Gurdy, Accordion, Bagpipes and Percussion played by students from years 10 - 12.

Sports

Turramurra High School holds annual athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals and students who compete in these events regularly go on to various inter school, regional and State level competitions.

Sporting facilities at the school include two ovals and two indoor and outdoor basketball courts. The school is centrally placed to a number of sporting facilities such as 'The Field of Dreams' baseball diamond, Aluba Oval, West Pymble Pool, Canoon Tennis Courts & Netball Courts, West Pymble & Hornsby Gyms, Macquarie Centre
