. It borders to Singsaker
in the west, Strindheim in the north, Moholt
in the south and Valentinlyst
in the east. The area has a good view of Trondheim on the one side and to Lade
and Strinda
. Before 1964 Tyholt was part of Strinda.

high above ground. Most of Tyholt is housing, but beside the tower is located the Centre for Marine Technology of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology
