U.P. National Writers Workshop

The University of the Philippines National Writers Workshop, is an annual literary workshop held for two weeks every summer in Baguio City
by the University of the Philippines
' Institute of Creative Writing. A week-long workshop is also held in Davao City
for Visayan
writers.
The workshop is open to writers in English
and Filipino
and several regional languages: Iloko and Bikol
(Baguio workshop) and Chavacano, Cebuano

Application
Applicants are enjoined to submit their manuscripts consisting of 6 poems or 2 short stories or 2 one-act plays. Experimental literary forms are also acceptable. Fellowships are awarded by genre and by language. Applicants should submit under a pseudonym four hard copies (computer-encoded, double spaced) and a diskette copy (Microsoft WordMicrosoft Word
