 from UKSG, intended as an introduction to the learned and scientific publishing industry for all those with an interest - including librarians and publishers (especially those new to working in the field).

It covers areas such as technological standards, usage statistics, licensing and pricing issues, and is a companion volume to The Serials Management Handbook, Serials e-News, and the scholarly journal Serials.

UKSG is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to connect the "information community", and encourage the exchange of ideas the process of scholarly communication.
