UK Music Week was a United Kingdom
-wide music chart which compiled the 40 UK greatest artists of all time.
Most commercial radio stations took part in the week-long event from April 24 to May 1, 2006, which consisted of special programming and one networked programme on the last day from 3pm-7pm which counted down the chosen artists from number 40 to number 1.
Listeners voted by visiting the official website and by sending an SMS
text message.

The chart was compiled again in 2007. The UK Music Week was from 20 to 27 May 2007 and the voting was in the same format as in the previous year.
