It comprises five schools:
At the university's Kensington campus, the faculty occupies the Morven Brown and Robert Webster buildings, as well as parts of the Mathews Building.
In May 2007, the University announced "it will conduct a major review of its Bachelor of Arts program, reduce its teaching semester from 14 weeks to 12 weeks, and cut all casual teaching staff from its Arts and Social Sciences disciplines."
