; sponsored by Mrs. D. C. Barnes, widow of Ensign Barnes; and commissioned 13 July 1944, Lieutenant Commander J. P. Ingle, USNR, in command.
for officers destined for escort vessel service at Norfolk, Virginia

, and placed out of commission in reserve there 15 January 1947. She was struck from the Navy list
on 1 December 1972 and was sold for scrapping on 12 September 1973.
