Ukrainian First League 1995-96

Ukrainian First League 1995–96 was the fifth season of the Ukrainian First League
which was easily won by Vorskla Poltava
. The season started on August 4, 1995 and finished on July 1, 1996.
Note:
FC Temp Shepetivka
at first united with FC Advis Khmelnytskyi, but in the second half it relocated to Kamyanets-Podilskyi and was renamed to Ratusha (townhall -eng.). The club folded at the end of the season.
Skala Stryi that was formed out of FC Karpaty Kamyanka-Buzka in 1992 to reinstate a Polish club of 70 years ago upon the conclusion of the season folded. Later another club from Komarne
will move to Stryi
and will be called as FC Hazovyk-Skala.
No clubs were relegated this season as three participants withdrew out of competition at the end of the season.
