Unmaad is the flagship annual cultural festival
of IIM Bangalore
. Spanning a period of three days, Unmaad draws participants from across India and features events like dramatics, music performances, dances, quizzes, debates, street plays, professional concerts and the grand Unmaad fashion show. The event has hosted some noteworthy performances by artists, such as Shankar Ehsaan Loy

This year was also the first time Unmaad hosted 'India Inspired', a conclave with Rajat Sharma, head of India TV, Nisha Susan, the initiator of the Pink Chaddi movement, Viren Wilfred Rasquinha, former National Hockey player, and Bruce Lee Mani, lead of Thermal And A Quarter.
Unmaad'11 saw the participation from colleges all around India, and especially high participation from corporate participants in the events.
The B-School of Rock competition was won by ‘Public Issue.’ The events was headlined and judged by Lounge Piranha
.
The Pro-nite was performed by the trio Shankar,Ehsaan and Loy. Four thousand people attended a concert of ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Rock On!’. Next version of Unmaad is scheduled between 27th and 29th of January 2012
In Unmaad '11, the audiences got to experience Mocktail Mixing, Photography, Movie Making, Dances, and Pottery workshops.
In Unmaad Jan '09 and Oct '09, the dance workshop was conducted by the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performaing Arts (SDIPA), by Shiamak Davar
's senior most instructors and lead dancers, Leisha Rohira and Snigdha Banerjee. Other workshops include pottery, film making, theater and martial arts.

Unmaad '11
Unmaad '11 - Therefore I am was a celebration of the power of the individual. Unmaad October '09
Unmaad Oct 2009 was held during 2-4 October 2009, with the global theme “The World is Bangalore” having been chosen to identify the proceedings. All the events were tailored around this theme. The festival also had a series of workshops including pottery and martial arts. The dance workshop, conducted by instructors from the Shiamak Davar institute of performing arts, was completely booked within a day of it being announced. The three hour session had over 30 couples dance and jive to salsa. US Pizza, Little Italy, Baskin Robbins and Kaati Zone opened up food courts on campus for the duration of the festival.The B-School of Rock competition was won by ‘Public Issue.’ The events was headlined and judged by Lounge Piranha

Events
The events at Unmaad provide a platform for everyone to showcase their talents. The events, spread over three days, may be categorized into the following main heads:- Specials:These include Mr. and Ms. Unmaad, The Fashion Show, Choreography and B-School of Rock (BSOR). One of the most popular events of Unmaad, the fashion show draws audience second only to ProNite.
- Literary Events: The literary events, as the name suggests, range from quizzes and word games to JAM and dumb charades.
- Performing Arts: Solo and regional dance competitions add high energy to these events while dramatics, mime and movie spoof keep the audience enthralled.
- Music Events: With light music and western music bands from different colleges, rock competitions, song spoofs and the inclusive Antakshari, Unmaad has a wide range of music events.
- Fine Arts: Fine arts at Unmaad include collage making, face painting, clay sculpting, comics, design and tattooing contests.
