At the time the band was formed by Jim Reid (vocals), William Reid (guitar), Douglas Hart (bass) and Murray Dalglish (drums).
The sleeves for the first 1.000 copies (in red with black words) were printed by Bobby Gillespie (the next drummer in the band) in Glasgow, and featured handwritten messages from the group. The next copies were in black with red words. In 1985 the single was re-released with a totally different sleeve but same catalogue number.
