Education
Uri the historical town has many famous schools and a college.there are two higher secondary and a govt college besides many private institutions famous among them are Army Goodwill School, New Light English Medium School Uri and M.M.Memorial Education Institution.A private School of very high reputation "Noor-Ul-Uloom" is also rendering its service to the people of Uri and Boniyar from last 20 years.The College building is yet to be completed.there are near104 Govt Schools in The Education Zone Uri. The Earthquake of 2005 destroyed many schools and half of them are yet to be completed besides a time period of 6 years. The Degree College in uri is likely t handed over in December,2011 with a sprawling campus located near Amlok colony. Army run school is also imparting education to a number of students of the area.See also
