group created in 1985, consisting of Yukiko Iwai
and Mamiko Takai
. While members of this group, Iwai and Takai were also members of Onyanko Club
, a large pop group considered a precursor to groups such as Morning Musume
. Onyanko Club sang back-up vocals on some of the songs released by Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi. The group is most well known for singing several of the theme songs for the anime

The group was considered a little unusual due to the height difference between Iwai and Takai. Takai was taller at about 5' 4
Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi made their television debut on 30 September 1985. Over the course of the group's career, they released six singles, three albums, a concert video, and two photobooks (in addition to the Kimengumi soundtrack albums). The group disbanded after Takai's graduation from Onyanko Club on 5 April 1987.
