and Ranjith under the banner of Country Talkies. Ustaad revolves around the life of Parameshwaran, who leads a dual life, of a high profile businessman and of an underworld negotiator and was well received at the box office and ended up as huge hit.
) in Hyderabad to settle a financial deal with his old partner Yousuf Shah (Rajeev). After completing the deal, though with his muscle power, Ustaad reaches back in Kozhikod, his hometown. There he is an adorable brother, who is also a foster father to his younger sister Padmaja (Divya Unni
). Parameshwaran maintains a low profile as a businessman in Kozhikode, but is ventured into several areas including realty business. Padmaja, meanwhile falls in love with her classmate Nandan (Vineeth
), who is son of Koliyod Shekharan Narendra Prasad
, once a super rich businessman in the city. It is the extravagant life style of his elder son Koliyodan Giri (Saikumar), that has led to the fall of the business empire of Shekharan. Mohan Thampy (N. F. Varghese
), Shekharan's elder son-in-law is a business tycoon in the city, but also enjoys several dubious underworld links. His emergence was manly with financial support of Shekharan, but with time he has almost broke up ties with Shekharan. Varsha (Vani Viswanath
), the newly appointed police commissioner delves into the i the financial and criminal background of Parameshwaran. In the meantime, Padmaja expresses her desire to marry Nandan, to which Parameshwaran readily agrees. But on the previous night of marriage, he is arrested by Varsha. Upon release on bail, Parameshwaran finds out that his arrest was planned and documented by Yousuf Shah with the support of Mohan Thampy. Though late, Varsha realizes her mistake and vows to support Parameshwaran in his efforts to take on his foes. Thampy plots a wicked plan to avenge Ustaad. He keeps a huge amount of black currecny in Nandan's office and gets him along with Padmaja arrested by police for money laundering. This enrages Ustaad, who vows to finsih off his enemies. He hunts down Yousuf Shah, who flees to Dubai. In the middle of desert, Parameshwaran mercilessly finishes Yousuf Shah and flies back to join his sister and family.
