Vallehermoso is the second largest municipality in area. Farmlands are in the valley areas and within the Atlantic, the mountain and the hills dominate the central part and part of the coastline are cliffs. Its climate is mainly vegetation.

The population decreased until the mid to late 1990s when it slowly boomed up again. The population began to boom again but declined close to the 2004 population level.
