Carlos Manuel Oliveiros da Silva, aka Vermelhinho (born 9 March 1959 in São João da Madeira
), is a retired Portuguese
footballer who played as a left winger.
, Vermelhinho signed for country giants F.C. Porto at the age of 23, in 1982. In the 1983–84 European Cup Winners' Cup, he scored arguably his most important career goal, as Porto won 1–0 at Aberdeen
(2–0 aggregate): in a foggy night, Vermelhinho scored an amazing long range lob, and went on to also play the entire final, lost 1–2 to Juventus FC
