Vicnet
Encyclopedia
Vicnet began in 1993 as a joint State Library of Victoria and RMIT University project to investigate the impact of the internet and online information on public libraries and the broader community in Victoria. Vicnet developed as an ISP in its formative years which enabled it to grow a range of other activities including delivery of project management services and internet training services for community. Over time Vicnet became a division of the State Library of Victoria
and is now an important part of the libraries vision.
