and Norman Chaplin.
She appeared in her father's film, A Countess from Hong Kong
, and he wanted her to star as an angel in his next film called The Freak
. However she met the French actor Jean-Baptiste Thiérrée and they eloped to get married. The film was not made. She and her husband created Le cirque bonjour, then Le cirque imaginaire, later Le cirque invisible, travelling contemporary circus
es which some credit as a source of inspiration for Cirque du Soleil
. Their children, Aurélia Thiérrée, (born 24 September 1971), and James Thiérrée
, (born 2 May 1974), both performed as children with their parents and went on to have acting careers as adults.
