A victory parade is a type of parade
held in order to celebrate a victory. Because of that, victory parades can be divided into military
victory parades and more frequent sport
victory parades.
Among the most famous parades are the victory parades celebrating the end of the First World War and the Second World War.
In the former USSR including the Russian Federation victory parades are held annually in every major city celebrating the victory of the Soviet Union in the so-called Great Patriotic War (1941—1945).
