Vigra is an island and former municipality on the west coast of Norway
. It is in the present-day municipality of Giske
in Møre og Romsdal
county. The former municipality was made up of the island of Vigra along with many smaller islets surrounding it. The island is located north of the islands of Giske
and Valderøy
, and it is south of the island of Lepsøya
.
Vigra has excellent walking trails along the seashore and over the hills. There are a number of beaches on Vigra including Blimsanden, Rørvikvågen, Blindheimsvika, Roald
, and Molnes. Fishing

is located at Vigra, and the island is connected to the mainland through undersea tunnel
