Vila de Mazo (short form: Mazo) is located on the southeastern part of the island of La Palma
in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife
of the Canary Islands
. Villa de Mazo is linked with a main highway encircling every part of the island and is located south of the capital Santa Cruz de la Palma
and east of Tazacorte
.
to the southeast.
The coastline and the valley areas are made up of farmlands, while the mountainous areas are forested or grassy to the central and the northern parts but much of the area are deforested. Its main industry are agriculture which produces wine fishery and also tourism.
La Palma's airport which is also Santa Cruz de La Palma Airport, La Palma Airport or Mazo Airport is located east of Villa de Mazo with a runway facing the east of the farmlands. The main highway encircling the island in which it got covered over the old route runs to the east of the airport.
