In the town the population was spread out with 33.0% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 35.4% from 25 to 44, 16.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.4 males.

April 2011 tornado
A small portion of the town was destroyed in a tornado on the evening of April 25, 2011. The devastated area was a mobile home park. The tornado was confirmed by National Weather Service survey crews, who has rated the tornado a high end EF2. Four people were killed in town as a result of the twister.External links
