. Located in a valley between two hills, the school makes education a pleasant experience. Kids just love the long bus ride along the beach road, the wide open spaces, and the two big playgrounds are just an added bonus. With a fully equipped games room, a basket ball court, a cricket pitch, Visakha Valley School encourages extra-curricular activities. The school has a campus of 33 acres.It contains separate set of blocks for students of 1st to 5th and 6th to 12th. The school has a football , basketball and Netball ground for seniors.It also has a play park with swings , slides , seesaws.etc for juniors. There is also an empty ground which is left for development. The school also offers two computer labs and a library. The school offers buses as a transportation service to students. The buses cover almost all the residential area in Visakhapatnam. It runs under the CBSE system of education with teaching from LKG to XII in English
medium. It is one of oldest schools in the city of Visakhapatnam. The principal of the school is Dr.(Smt.)Sarada Reddy. The chairman of the school is the District Collector, Sri J Syamala Rao, IAS. The school celebrates important days like Children's day, Telugu day, Sanskrit day, Hindi day and Air Force day. The school publishes a magazine every five years, named Madalasa. It has a programme called S.Y.A
(short for school year abroad) where foreigners interact with Indian students and learn their tradition and culture. The school students host them for a period of three months. In recent history, the school has introduced IIT and IIT foundation classes to assure better ranks in competitive examinations. The school also has NCC

Upon completion of class 12, students are then required to sit for the entrance examinations for their chosen course of study and university or to the universities through the AIIMS, IIT-JEE, AIEEE, etc. In a controversial move, the Union Government abolished the Std X examinations from 2011 onwards. The CBSE board also introduced a new system of evaluation called CCE or Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation.

. Rolling trophies are given to students of houses basing on their talents in sports and other co - curricular activities. For the past few years, the Newton house was at the lead until in 2010, when the Raman house won. Admissions are given on the basis of an entrance examination which is conducted on the last Sunday of every March. The school dreuniform is silver gray shirt and navy blue trousers/skirt and flaps of respective houses. On Fridays, the school uniform is a white shirt and white trousers/skirt with a striped tie and the respective house colored overcoat.
. During the third week, all the participants are supposed to deliver speeches to the voters. Then the voters will intelligently choose their leader and vote in on the Friday of the third week. Often the slogan for these election
s is said to be rock the vote, though it isnt official. Students are elected as captains of the four different Houses, and the entire School. Once elected, the prefects are presented with starred flaps and special black jackets which they are supposed to wear on Fridays. In case a prefect is found to be irresponsible or bullying, the Head captin is questioned. Soon or later, the defaulter is suspended from the student council. Teja Deenamsetty was the school captain in the year 2010-2011. He is a successful sportsman and is an all rounder involving himself in all activities. He is very popular among the students with his tag line "have no fear when Teja is here!". Pratika Yashaswi, a student in the commerce stream has been elected as the school captain for the year 2011-2012. Pratika is an avid book reader with wide knowledge.

that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. In an MUN conference, participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems. During a conference, participants must employ a variety of communication and critical thinking skills in order to represent the policies of their country. These skills include public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, conflict resolution, note taking, and technical writing. During the 2011, the first MUN was established in India. The Delhi University Model United Nations saw some of the best MUNers across India participating in 3 UN COuncils- General Assembly, ECOSOC and Security Council, to make it a grand success. Soon after the establishment of DUMUN, some students of the VVS were enrolled into CHEMUN or Chennai - Model United Nations conferences as diplomats representing their Nation or NGO in a simulated session of an organ (committee) of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly.

The band had another vocalist named Kaveesh Sharma, who broke up with the band during April 2011 as he had to leave for Bangalore
. The band has so far published one album, named Lonely Love from which one song, Oceanic Abyss is released as a single. During August 2011, the band gained a considerable lot of fame after their crowd pulling performances at the Visakhapatnam

History
Cdr. Almaida, with the support of the District Collector, started a school on the outskirts of the city and called it the Visakha Valley School. When he retired, Cdr. P.A.Moses was selected for the Principal's post. He took over in January 1971 and continued till April 1977. By then, it became a full-fledged school offering CBSE syllabus. The foundation of the school was laid in 1968, by the district collector of Visakhapatnam Shri Abid Hussain. It was started by The Visakha Educational Society under Societies Registration Act. The schools also offers students to take part in competitions from all over India such as Limca quiz , Horlicks Wizkids.It also gives students an opportunity to take part in competitive exams like IMO, NCo and other Olympiads conducted by Science Olympiad foundation.
