History
Volt was founded in 1950 by brothers William and Jerome Shaw. With an initial capital investment of $13, the company began as a technical documentation firm in New York City. In 1956, Volt expanded to include staffing services and began providing clients with temporary technical specialists. As the company grew, the Shaw’s continually expanded their service offerings to provide broader range of business solutions, including an array of workforce management services, telecom, IT, printing, publishing, and more.
