Vyacheslav Kruglikis a Russia

under A. S. Nesterov and B. I. Tishchenko. After graduating from the Conservatory with honours in 2001, he continued with post-graduate studies from 2001–2003.
In 2005 Kruglik was a prize-winner of the Mariinsky Theatre
's Russian opera composition competition with his one act opera
The Carriage
. The work was one of three new operas selected by the Mariinsky Theatre for performance in the summer 2009 festival, receiving its premiere at the opera house on 21 June of that year. His children's opera, Semyon. Version 1.0 (composed with Svetlana Nesterova
), was a prize-winner at the 2008 composition competition at the Bolshoi Theatre

Kruglick's compositions have also been performed at the Košice Music Spring Festival
and the Youth Academies of Russia and Arena. His other works encompass a wide variety of genres, including the ballet Low Marks Again after the painting by Fyodor Reshetnikov, concertos for woodwind, harp and percussion, 2 string quartets, a sonata for flute and piano, a symphony, and several vocal song cycles.
