and Americana music on weekday evenings. In 2003 WGCS began broadcasting 24 hours a day.
On June 20, 2004, under the management of Jason Samuel, WGCS adopted the moniker "The Globe" and switched to its current format of Americana, Triple A and worldbeat
music. Since 1970, the station has been broadcasting Goshen College
athletics. In the late summer of 2005 Penn High School
(Mishawaka, Indiana
) football was added to the broadcast schedule and continues to be a regular part of their autumn programming.

In 2011, WGCS was named the year's Best College Station in the Nation at the Conference of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System in New York City.
