WRFM is an AM broadcasting station at 990 kHz in Muncie, Indiana
990 AM (previously as WLHN) simulcasted with WJPB-LP
at 99.1 FM. with its studios and offices located at Jackson Park Baptist Church.
"990 Werk" with a Top 40 format, built by the Poorman family, who operated an ad agency. Wife Bettie is still well at 88 years. Bill Shirk later operated the station. The call letters moved to 104.9 FM (the former WWHC in Hartford City) now with an oldies format.
Electronic Applications Radio Service acquired the frequency in March 2000 and resurrected the former daytime-only station by means of an STA
(special temporary authority) granted by the FCC and returned to the air with 67 watts. An FCC engineer used to take Field Intensity Readings of the monitor points. It was granted the callsign WLHN in 1999. The callsign was switched to WRFM in March 2003, with Electronic Applications Radio Service being the new licensee.
Greenfield-based Indiana Community Radio Corporation (operated by Jenifer Cox-Hensley) which operates WJCF-FM
88.1-FM in Morristown acquired the frequency from Electronic Applications Radio Service.
The future of 990 AM remains positive. The station broadcast a news and information format as "True Talk For Indiana" then flipped to oldies in 2009 utilizing Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel
, which is a commercial 24/7 satellite music service offered by Citadel Media. In lieu of commercials, the station airs PSAs and promotional spots during commercial breaks on the satellite network. WRFM also broadcasts on the FM dial at 89.1 MHz in Wilkinson, Indiana
and on various translators throughout the state of Indiana.
WJCF (for Jesus Comes First) also operates a translator network and streams from its website at wjcfradio.org.

The WRFM callsign was first used in 1957 at a station on 105.1 MHz in New York City, for a station owned by William Reumann (named after his initials).
After WRFM was sold, the call sign was changed. That station is now WWPR-FM
