programming. WTKM-FM began broadcasting in the early 1970's when WTTN-FM in Watertown, moved from 104.7 to 94.1 FM so that WTKM could apply for an FM license on 104.9 Mhz.

WTKM (AM) signed on in 1951. The FM followed in 1973. The call letters original meaning under the previous owner was "Wisconsin's Total Kettle Moraine". On December 1, 2009, WTKM (AM) stopped simulcasting with WTKM-FM and flipped it's format to oldies under the moniker "Crusin' 1540".
