on June 5, 1997.
WXLO formerly aired Dick Clark's U.S. Music Survey, a top-20 adult contemporary countdown. It aired throughout the '90s until 2001, when it was replaced with Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40
. Airbound, a Citadel Communications
-owned new music program hosted by Tony Bristol, also aired in the 2000s, but was canceled in 2007.
