Runaway Train

The Runaway Train is a live program hosted by Mike Sadler. The program airs every weekday afternoon starting at 2PM. Special guests on the show include Amos, Bruzier Bob, Herman Whipple, and others. The Runaway Train is a special radio concept. "This train is out of control" was heard frequently throughout the show. The Runaway Train took you back to the days where pop radio was this huge variety of styles. The music was from the mid 50's to mid 80's with a lot of emphasis on high energy music. Encompassed in the mix were classic rock, southern rock, and great songs forgotten in time. The Runaway Train and its concept was developed by show host Mike Sadler. His knowledge of oldies and facts enlightened the listeners by educating them. The Runaway Train had a huge listening audience due to its great music, crazy skits with created characters that at times were outrageous, and a music format that uplifted your spirits. You never knew what song you would hear next as the playlist encompassed over 8,000 songs. Listeners professed live on call-ins aired that this particular show was better than any dee jays or shows on the major FM stations in nearby Huntsville, Chattanooga, or Nashville. Every Friday was declared PARTY CENTRAL, where four hours of high energy 'anything goes' music from current to 50's (scanning five decades) would be played. The 3 to 4 hour of the Friday show was music non-stop with no commercial interruption, no news nothing but heart pounding high energy music that would have listeners parking their cars on the side of the roads and be out dancing. One Cowan policeman discovered two women dancing like Steve Martin's in his King Tut skit while "Walk Like an Egyptian" graced the airways.
