History
The area was known by several different names (Lipan School, Little School, and Murray's Store) after it was settled in the mid-1880s. The community was named Wall after J.M. Wall, a shopkeeper who served as postmaster after the town's post office opened in 1906. Wall served as a trading center for the fertile Lipan Flat region. The population stood at approximately 250 in 1920, 120 through the 1930s and 1940s, and had slightly risen to around 200 during the latter half of the twentieth century..The community currently supports several businesses, a post office (zip code: 76957), and a school.

Winning Tradition
The Wall Hawks have a long tradition of winning in their football program. The Wall Hawks have a good chance of winning the Texas 2A Division 1 State Championship in 2011. The football charge is led by seventh year senior JB Marshall. His long years of experience make him an easy All-American for the sixth straight year. The quarterback, Collin McCrory, enjoys playing badmitton and won the US Amateur Badmitton Open in 2010. The Hawks' triple option attack cannot be stopped by any defense in the nation and averages 3000 rushing yards per game.1st team Offense
