Academic Program
Walnut Creek Intermediate has an API of over 900. It is a California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon Nominee. The Core academic curriculum is History, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Science. The sixth grade and seventh grade levels combine English and History and call the class "Core". The sixth grade level consists of three periods in the core, while the seventh grade level consists of two periods in the core.
