Lafty's most notable work is an EP and full album he put out with the band Silvertide. Walt was also in a band named Automatic Fire with Silvertide
bassist Brian Weaver, but they have since dissolved. He also provided vocals for Carlos Santana on television shows in the United States, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and England.
Lafty released a solo album of acoustic songs available for download on iTunes on March 11, 2008.
