History

When the Henley Branch Line was opened no station was provided at Wargrave; apparently it was considered that Twyford station was close enough. After many complaints from the villagers a station was opened in 1900. At the time the line was double, so two platforms and a footbridge were provided.
The station retained its Great Western Railway

 building until 1988 when it was demolished on the excuse that it was "unsafe".

There is an hourly daily service northbound to Henley-On-Thames and southbound to Twyford.
