The museum maintains a permanent exhibit about the history of the Pacific Northwest

, and continually hosts temporary exhibits that further illuminate some portion of the history of the state of Washington. The top floor of the museum contains a "history lab" where visitors can experience and learn about history in a more hands-on fashion.
