The teams hold many trophies for district and regional championships as well as many trophies in invitational tournaments. They also hold the 3rd place trophy for state power lifting in 2003. In 2005 the boys baseball team got to the quarterfinals of the Division 3 baseball tournament in the state of Michigan, but lost to Homer High School, 11-5.

Athletics
Watervliet competes in the Southwest Athletic Conference of Michigan. They are led by athletic director Ken Dietz. They have a fall lineup of football, volleyball, cross-country, equestrian, and cheerleading, a winter lineup of boys and girls basketball as well as wrestling and spring sports of boys and girls track, softball, baseball, and golf.The teams hold many trophies for district and regional championships as well as many trophies in invitational tournaments.
